a little late &#8211; and stylish in my black and white flared trousers and the pink T-shirt with a cat print in front of the already closed door.<\/p>\n<p>The idea of \u200b\u200bhaving to go in there and get attention was totally stupid.<\/p>\n<p>I showed courage and went in, only to be immediately embarrassed to realize that I was in the wrong room the teacher said &#8211; \u201cDon&#8217;t worry, Diana.<\/p>\n<p>Just sit down with us for this hour and look for a free place. Great. Everyone was already sitting and watching me.<\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t know anyone.\u00a0So I made my way through the rows looking for a place.<\/p>\n<p>When I passed, James gave me a shy but encouraging smile and I sat down next to him. And somehow I&#8217;m still sitting there today.<\/p>\n<p>Next to him, by his side. I was no longer nervous and fearful around James and we were fine together.<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2 id=\"h-ziemlich-schnell-wurden-wir-die-besten-freundinnen\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"We_became_best_friends_pretty_quickly\"><\/span><span id=\"ziemlich-schnell-wurden-wir-die-besten-freundinnen\">We became best friends pretty quickly<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>During class, we wrote messages to each other. After school, we play and go home together. We do this most times every week.<\/p>\n<p>Somehow, we understood life in a similar way back then. Like soul mates, <em>&#8220;Soulmate&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We discuss our assignments and our experiences within and outside the school.<\/p>\n\r\n<div id=\"container-8b4e5acc1483aec15f1e66c48060af49\"><\/div><h2><\/h2>\n<h2 id=\"h-wir-haben-unsere-gesamte-jugend-zusammen-verbracht\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"We_spent_all_of_our_youth_together\"><\/span><span id=\"wir-haben-unsere-gesamte-jugend-zusammen-verbracht\">We spent all of our youth together<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>That was an intense time with a lot of highs, but also some lows that we went through together.<\/p>\n<p>The first bad grades, the fear of math class, the insecurities of puberty.<\/p>\n<p>The first kiss, the first time, the first parties, the first vacation without parents, the first big love.<\/p>\n<p>When I just cried and shivered because of my first bad lovesickness, you patted my back all night and said everything would be fine.<\/p>\n<p>The summer after your back surgery was difficult.\u00a0Having a vacation without you kind of sucks.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s why I&#8217;ve visited you as often as possible during these weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Telling you all the news hot at your sickbed to cheer you up, so that you could hopefully get well again very quickly.<\/p>\n<p>When you switched schools, we were worried that it might move us apart. But we weren&#8217;t kids anymore and we were responsible for staying friends and of course, we did!<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column\">\n<p>When you told me crying one night that you were in love with a woman and that you were scared, I promised you that nothing would change between us.<\/p>\n<p>Who would have thought at the time that Diana in question would also become one of his closest friends to James?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"h-du-hast-dieses-gl-ck-so-sehr-verdient\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"You_deserve_this_happiness_so_much\"><\/span><span id=\"du-hast-dieses-glueck-so-sehr-verdient\">You deserve this happiness so much<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When I look at you today, I see a wonderful, confident woman who knows exactly what she wants.<\/p>\n<p>The warm-heartedness radiates and is empathetic and above all has incredible strength.<\/p>\n<p>You are my haven of peace, with you, I am at home and can be exactly as I am. This is a gift I will never forget.<\/p>\n<p>We suddenly grew up pretty much!\u00a0This year we will celebrate your wedding, next year we will celebrate 20 years of friendship.\u00a0A friendship that I&#8217;m very proud of.<\/p>\n<p>When I think about the future, I see us together. I see us on vacation on the beach, in everyday life with joint professional projects, with our children in the playground, and at dinner parties in the garden.<\/p>\n<p>And how we old and wrinkled, raise our champagne glasses to a wonderful life together.
